Bumptop – now my desktop IS a desktop!
A few months ago, I was finding an effective way to stick some notes on my desktop (because those little post-its in front of me keep on dropping, and I forgot what I was supposed to do…)
Then I saw this video with some sticky notes and a really cool looking desktop.
Turns out it was BumpTop.
And I was hooked.
[Sorry, I'm writing random things - I need to jump start my writing mind before I move on to my work ;P]
BumpTop is a cool desktop software, which lets you pin stuff right on your desktop. Photo frames which cycle through your pictures? No problem. What about tossing a file to your email and attaching it just like that? No problem, too! And dragging pictures to the Facebook icon and automatically uploading them to your profile? Whoa, too much.
It comes in FREE and PRO, though the only thing that limits me with the FREE version is that I can only stick 2 sticky notes – but I don’t care. LOL.
And yes, the picture frame on the middle is from ‘My Pictures’ folder.
I can easily view pictures right in 3D, bang them against the wall…pretty much anything what I can do right in a boxed desktop. And heck, it looks cool. Absolutely cool.
Themes can be downloaded so you can get that more personalized look.
For someone like me who has her desktop filled with icons, it’s an easy way to organize with just one click. Pile them up like you would on a stack of papers, or just let them roam around your desktop.
But one cool thing about BumpTop is that it supports touch-screen displays. So if you have a tablet laptop, you can just drag around, bang pictures on the walls…and pretty much control everything with your touch. But it can also be controlled using your mouse, soooooo…still cool.
The PRO costs $29, but I think I’ll stick with the FREE version. I don’t really need THAT much sticky notes right on my desktop.
WEE! Desktop love.
BumpTop love.
