SocialSpark with FWP | Freelance Writing Jobs in the Philippines 02.04-05.10

Woah. I am quite surprised at available freelance writing jobs in the Philippines via Manila craigslist; they’re quite few so I decided to postpone the post and make it into one. But alas – there are only still few postings.

Could it have been the newly released Philippine nursing board exam 2009 results? :P

Admit it – you might have just been disappointed with the results…I know I was. (don’t get me wrong…I don’t have anything against nursing, but I think that those who take up the course should learn to love it. They shouldn’t just study just because of the pay, but because it’s what they want…)

Oh well. Moving on.

I recently signed up with SocialSpark – a social networking tool for bloggers. I must admit I am a bit new with this blogging thingy, but signing up with them seemed like a breeze.

Don’t worry – the usual freelance writing jobs are available at the end of the post :)

I first heard SocialSpark from various Filipino bloggers, but I guess the post which really made me try it was from CravingTech’s post. That seriously made me sign up for the site.

Upon studying even further, SocialSpark is backed up by IZEA, which is a leading agency in social media marketing. Yep, these are sponsored posts and tweets and everything that is connected with social networking nowadays.

You’ve got to admit that most of these social networks can really ’spark’ up interesting topics and marketing plans all over the Internet. Unlike traditional media which is quite hard to measure in terms of market response and behavior, online marketing made it easier for marketing companies, products and services.

Simply put, SocialSpark sponsors your post. Yes, you read right: you get to take stuff you want to write about, and they pay you for that.

If it sounds easy, and you think that to make money online is THIS easy, then I suggest you start blogging now and to improve on your grammar.

Yep, they check grammar. So you might want to think about using ‘text speak’ in your blog posts when you do such sponsored posts..

Signing up on SocialSpark

Signing up was a piece of cake. You just need to input your personal information such as email and name, and you are good to go. No activation emails, no waiting – it’s just that.

You have to, however, supply your real blog. And they’d give you a script string which you need to copy and then to paste  before the </body> tag of your blog. This is to ensure that the blog is really yours.

So if you do not have such permissions in your blog, you probably wouldn’t be good with this site. They recommend that you place it just before (or was it after?) your Google Analytics script – if you use it.

After successfully placing the script, you have to push the button on the bottom to claim your blog. When it’s done, then you are done. Now you have to cross your fingers and pray that they accept your blog in their directory. :)

Why I think Social Spark has lots of potentials

I’ve never had any sponsored posts before, and in as much as I want to, I guess this would be my first. The process itself is simple enough for any newbie blogger to do, and I think they also have good customer service.

You may also add up friends – a real add-on especially if you want to build on your blogger friend base. It’s a nice tool to keep yourself updated with your other friends, and hopefully maintain your good relationship with them.

Overall, I think it is a great way of marketing other products by using bloggers all over the world. Quite fun, too, if you love to write or you want to improve on your writing skills…

I guess I would have to make a new post about Social Spark after some months. :)

Okay, now, here are your freelance writing jobs in the Philippines :) I hope you enjoyed reading ;)
